Bennetts and Big Brother

I've never quite understood why Bennetts think their "Bennetts Babes" will help them sell insurance - personally, I want an insurer more interested in my engine capacity than my cup size! - but I think they have done the right thing in cancelling Dannielle's contract. Other people can argue whether the scenes in the Big Brither house have been racist but in my view it's certainly been the worst kind of playground girlie bullying - whispering behind backs and giggling, and picking on someone for totally random reasons.

Wouldn't it be great if Bennetts replaced Ms Lloyd with a real female biker, like Patsy Quick, first British woman to complete the Dakar?

Pink Dog: Chocolate melt-off postponed

Further proof that Blogger hates macs. PinkDog's blog on a PC does exactly what it says on the tin - it's a blog and it's pink on white. But on my mac, it's dark green text on purple. If you need to induce a migrane to acquire a duvet day, give it a go!

Ode to my haircut

£163?
F*** me.
If I'd known it was going to be that much,
I'd have said yes to the third cup of espresso.

Another tiny triumph

I have been canvassing all and sundry to ask how to add the permalink link to the bottom of my post. Turns out it was there all along, disguised as the datestamp. Not very obvious, so a big thank you to Blogger Tips and Tricks for posting idiot-proof instructions. I've tried to post a thank-you but Google tells me it thinks I'm spyware, so I'm posting my thank-you here instead.

Saving the post office - one biker at a time?

The Mail on Sunday's Toby Walne will be travelling the UK to save under-used post offices by visiting them on what looks like a very plush BMW. The logic seems a bit random - but maybe this is a cunning plan by Mr Walne to get his biking subsidised by work.

I own a Mac, not an instrument of satan

Blogging..it's the future. We all need to be doing it. Well, blog-people - why do you make it so hard for bloody mac users? I've tried vox - click compose and it says "this page is not supported", so I've come full circle back here. I look forward with joy to "We're sorry, it has not been possible to complete your request."

Happy New Year!
